Can't take the Reds out of the Red Line

No more fare hikesNo more service cutsStand up, fight backYou and I are being robbed

This picture is from the Red Line (one of the lines in the Boston area subway system, known as the "T"), on October 18. The graffito reflects the current battles over public transportation fare hikes and service cuts in Boston, as in other cities. The most recent fare increase (to at least $2 per one-way subway ride) took effect in July. Popular opposition, however, has so far prevented many of the planned service cuts.  Someone evidently tried to scrub away the rebellious message, but did not entirely succeed.
