Dear D&S blog readers,
According to the company that runs our servers, the database for our WordPress blog was corrupted (there's so much corruption these days!). The nice support guy tried his best to restore the blog using the back-up files that we were getting automatically, but those back-up files turned out not to contain what they should have.
Anyhow, it looks like the damage can't be easily undone, but the good news is that only about the ten most recent posts have disappeared. I will try to find them somewhere and restore them.
In the meantime, it's been a while since we have posted anything to the blog, so I'll do a brand-new post today, and we are resolving to try to post regularly--several times a week--from now on.
